Join us at noon on Tuesday, December 30, outside WHBF (CBS 4) in downtown Rock Island for the “We C BS” free speech protest. We are gathering to defend a free press and to push back on corporate media decisions that limit what the public can see and know.

Organizers are calling attention to CBS News pulling a 60 Minutes segment about deported immigrants and conditions at El Salvador’s CECOT prison, which sparked widespread criticism and renewed concerns about political pressure on newsrooms.

Bring a sign. Be ready to chant. Dress warm for winter weather. Most of all, show up for the principle that truth should not be buried when it makes powerful people uncomfortable.
