This Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, Indivisible QC is joining the national “We Ain’t Buying It” campaign, an economic action to defend democracy and our communities. From November 27 to December 1, we are asking Quad Cities neighbors to pause all shopping at Target, Home Depot, and Amazon. Campaign organizers call out these corporations for caving to attacks on diversity and inclusion, enabling ICE to target workers, and bankrolling a harmful administration that puts profit over people.
Instead of chasing sales, we invite you to center family, rest, and community care. Hold your money. Delete shopping apps. Redirect your dollars to local small businesses, mutual aid, and businesses that respect Black, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ communities. Sign the pledge and share it so our region is counted in this national action. Together we can say our dignity is not for sale and every dollar is a vote for the future we believe in.
